Troubles with Spambots/Spammers/Spamaccounts

Dear readers!
You might have realized, we have troubles with spambots recently.
At least 15 of our users are definitely spamaccounts, another 30 or so are most likely (but have so far not spammed anything).
We have increased the numbers of moderators so spam posts will be deleted even faster.
And we created a special group into which we put all spammers (it is a continuation of the spam bot zoo we had a few years back.)
being in that group prevents them from posting.
Of course we have been banning emailadresses and IPs left and right, but as expected, it did not help enough.
We'd be thankful for any useful tips, how to stop the flood.
For starters we changed the Spambot-Tasks:
So far we asked some basic stuff about kortz.at (eg names of our cats), now we try one of the predefined spambot-countermeaserus. let's see if it works better.
