Even in hindsight I find them cartoons of exemplary quality in art style, story telling, character development, voice acting.
It is also worth a remark, that they are some kind of western anime: They take place in some world, which is clearly inspired by East Asia and the pacific, so there are basically no white characters there.
Let's throw in some quotes:
The Legend of Korra received widespread critical acclaim for its production values, the quality of its writing, its challenging themes and its transgression of the conventions of youth entertainment.
Sadly the comics & cartoons section of kortz.at is widely ignored."the smartest cartoon on TV," able to address adults' spiritual and sociopolitical concerns while presenting an "alternately riveting and hilarious ride packed with fantasy naturalism, steampunk grandeur, kinetic conflicts, sci-fi weaponry and self-aware comedy."
Otherwise I'd ask for opinions on the shows, what you think about the romantic constellations with which Legend of Korra ended and so on.
And especially, if anyone can name other cartoon shows which are that good.
